Mac Book Pro by Yo! Venice

Here are the basic principles that Yo! Venice was founded on:

1. Don’t be mean just for meanness sake. We are here to celebrate the community. If dinner someplace sucked, go there two more times before you take the time to write that it sucks. A lot of people read this blog and it isn’t fair to slam businesses based on a one time experience. Everyone and everyplace has their off days. More often than not, when we experience some horrible meal or bad service, we just don’t go back and don’t blog it here.  All of that noted, fair and just warnings about businesses in Venice can be acceptable … just not personal vendettas.

2. Don’t make posts about yourself, your own business or your good friend’s business without explaining your relationship in the post.  We will probably be able to see right through that ruse. And besides, it’s nice to hear about a business from the owner – it helps people feel connected to their neighborhood.

3. That is about it. Fair and just, trying not to criticize just to be a critic.

did anyone else see santa clause rolling down their street tonight in a sleigh, flanked by a police vanguard?

i dont know whats creepier, the thought that santa needs heavy police protection in venice or that armed and armored men are involved in encouraging us to enjoy the holiday season.

either way, my daughter will remain chambered in her bedroom-cell until she can don her hello kitty kevlar onesie.

    seasons greetings.

A cute baby seal was swiming in the Venice Canal today. Is any one know if it is the first time a Seal was able to “squiz” in.

    Tlopazola Grill.

Just tried their new location at Venice and Abbot Kinney. Great food. Easy parking. Lovely patio with heaters. They are waiting on a liquor license, so for the next month or two it’s BYOB!

Can you drive around Venice more than 100 yards without having to face a stop sign? not any more. It is about time for someone to realize that ’stop and go’ is harmful to the environment, to the cars that burn more fuel and to my nerves…. Another suggestion; why can the city make it illegal to ride a bike on the street IF there a bike path within a block from the street?. I think it is about time or we need to wait until some more accident occurred
Yes we don’t want to drive our cars in Venice but some time we don’t have a choice.
Thank you and have a great day
