I've been in Fresh and Easy stores, and am not sure what's the appeal. It seemed to me like pre-packaged expensive produce -- what am I missing? But TJ's seems the same -- is it just me? The comments about parking space also seem on the money, a small lot unless they can dig a garage underneath.

2)  Will there be overflow traffic from the parking lot putting cars on Harrison?

That Coachman RV from Nevada that has been parking in the same spot on Harrison for over 3 years might be asked to make room for F&E customers.

Just walked by. One dude sleeping it off by the front door. Looks like he's fixing to stay a bit as he's unpacked all his stuff and scattered it about. Dude out front begging for change with a few dags. The far north end's dumpster bin is still being used as a dumpster, food, garbage, human waste, but no dumpster so it just degrades on the concrete. They've been busy by the dumpster bin, broke out all the windows and pried the bars open so they can now just live inside.

Give me all the traffic in the world to clean that spot up, give some people some jobs and maybe encourage some other businesses to follow suit. Soon.

I am with you. If it means leaving a little early in order to clean that spot up. I will gladly live with the traffic.

Pretty good sized homeless camp growing there this weekend. 2 new RV's parked there as well. Could be the new Skid Rosendahl others imagined for that location.

In 2009 the Population density in Venice was 7,250 people per square mile, (http://www.city-data.com/neigh…..ce-CA.html ) I wonder what it is today, i am sure it doubled in the last 3 years, you barley can move any more with all the constructions in Venice and Marina Del Rey. Another Market will be good if more people can get too it on a bike because no point driving in this area any more, you get everywhere faster on a bike or bus.

They are going to need hazmat. The current tenants are using the area behind the bus stop benches on Lincoln as their rest room and uh, it's beginning to pile up. Next to a restaurant patio. Welcome to Venice!

not native,

I reported this to Watershed Protection at 800 974 9794 but since it is on private property there is a question if they can handle it.

I had also emailed Arturo Pina and he got back saying Building and Safety is responsible for private property and he contacted B+S inspectors asking them to address it.

@Building and Safety:   Leo Fuller   leo.fuller@lacity.org   and  Marshall Rumpf    marshall.rumpf@lacity.org

In hindsight maybe 311 may have been best.

And I contacted Adam Mayfield at F+E  and he said he'd do what he can although they still do not have responsibility for the property.

sounds a lot like the run-around I get with the City to get them to come out and clean the parking area next to Israel Levin on Ozone…2 months now and still no one has come to clean it as far as I can smell.

Love your bike.

I reported it here. Arturo Pina is an utter and complete waste of time when it comes to this situation. I have been bounced around when I asked for help in the past by him. He's great if you want to talk politics but when you need something done, just skip him.

Pina suscribes to the Rosendhal method. It is a very simple method, smile and do nothing, then take all the credit.

I'm surprised the realtor hasn't cleared that camp out, to be honest.
