Offline1. These meetings must be held when working people can attend. They can hold the art committee while we are at work.
2. I just sent my email. I'd like them to lobby the city and the state to make Dockweiler or some other beach campground free for these urban campers. I want them off our streets. Whatever happened to them, they chose to buy an RV and live in it. I don't mind that--if it's in a campground. If they can't afford to park in campgrounds I don't even mind if the city/state or good 'ol US of A gives them waivers so they can camp for free and stay as long as they like AT A CAMPSITE not on the streets of Venice. Then they can work to help the homeless who are on the street and get them into housing. This is ridiculous. We don't need portable toilets on the street of Venice unless it's the Abbot Kinney Festival or some other event.

OfflineFirst Rosendahl proposes spending about 3000.00 per RV, on top of all the other
services provided and expenses caused by the RV's.
Now VNC wants the city to put up toilets, sump pumps, pay for waste disposal.
Next Lucks will be proposing offering them three catered meals a day in bed.
And this is in light of what we are told time and time again by Rosendahl's
office that there is no money for any projects, alleys and streets don't get
maintained, trash overflows, not enough police, the parks are run down, etc.

OfflineBy the C,
A solution so simple it is staggering.
Even if they had to put 4 cops there full time it would still be 75% cheaper cops-wise than the system we are in now. When you add in the cost in Hazmat cleanups, the new 21 full time cops (just to chase the VD around), Streets to Parking Lots, the increase in crime levels and the damage to our community's environment and reputation it is about 1000% cheaper just to store them all down there.

Well spoken Squire! CAMPERS TO CAMPGROUNDS! The infrastructure is already in place, it is the only humane way, coupled with streets to homes, to make this happen to help those who need help. Even the other side points out that the REGION made this happen, lets have a REGIONAL solution (county, city and state agencies). Its really such a no-brainer its pathetic! I have no problems saying outright to those who say "what about the 'pirates' that 'can't ' live by the rules" Ship them out or to the other social services we pay for : prison! End the "homeless courts" once we set up the regional assist.
