Apparently, the substation needs work. New plumbing, new computers, new electrical and modfications
to the exterior design. If a private group can fund a skatepark, why can't private citizens fund a revamp
of that substation to make it actually function? It has a perfect location.

Is the substation that designery thing just south of the end of Windward? How old is it 5-7 years?

Yes but I don't know how old it is.
Someone on this forum was real knowledgeable about that substation and how screwed up
it was when it was built to the point of it being almost useless today.

--Just a side note. Prop A also paid for the new Parks & Recs/police sub station. The station is useless.
Mike Bonin was in charge. He designed it for him, not the police. It had no how water, it still has steel toilets,
the holding cell is illegal, the windows are useless and because of that computers are not allowed in for security reasons.
So it is a million $ useless building.
Then Bonin & Rosendahl took millions from the quimby funds & the Venice surplus funds to build the skateboard park.
I SAY AGAIN "WHERE IS THE $$$$$$$$$$$ FROM THOSE FUNDS ROSENDAHL & BONIN" ?

Well since we are getting (or keeping) 21 additional officers maybe we should start up "write in wednesdays" again and ask Chief Beck to make that sub station functional. (and ask for some of those officers to be street "beat " cops)

I think a revitalized sub station would be a huge psychological boost to the area. Just having a daily police presence
would do wonders.
And instead of having to drive criminals a half hour away to book them, throw them in a holding cell for the day.

There actually IS, or used to be a fully equipped LAPD mobile substation – They once parked it in front of the Oakwood Rec Center on Seventh and California for a month or so before they installed the cameras there to curtail the rampant drug dealing out of that facility. In fact, one of the reasons that there is resistance in Oakwood to removing the RVs around the park is that they provide some cover from the cameras…….. You did know that this was one of the first places that security cameras were installed in Venice about 3 years ago…..? You didn't??? Probably because you don't deal drugs…….

I only have a minute but I just wanted to say how proud I am of all you guys. You stuck to your guns.
You want all 3 laws set in motion and signs up ASAP. I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet but read everything.
Keep emailing and calling demanding lamc 85.02 be enforced in Venice. Get rid of people living in their vehicles.
Keep taking pictures of the dumpers and such.
Go to pacificbeat.net go to crime report and watch the crimes in your neighborhoods. Keep track of what you
know and what is reported. Make sure every time you know a crime has been committed they file a report.

As for the (sub-station) At the ground breaking ceremony I called out Rosendahl about him stealing the $2.5 million
he took for the skate board park. Prop A had $800,000 put aside for it but disappeared. HUMMMMMMMMMMM!
I dragged his bony ass to the sub station that day and demanded he fix it. The computers are on the way windows fixed
so they can put computers in, phone system and a real toilet. I got a hot water heater from B&B hardware that took
4 years to be put in. They also donated toilets they were never put in. But since I called him on stealing the $ things
are slowly getting done. Talk to Sgt Reiner. He has all the details.
I am so happy you had everyone their at the meeting but some should never have shown up USELESS people. That's
how things get so fucked up. BONIN ROSENDAHL GALANTER double talking back stabbing lying pieces of elected crap.
No wonder Rosendahl's teeth fell out, he is full of crap in stead of polident!
