Another Case Of Sewage Dumping From An RV Alleged In Venice: Activist Marta Evry Alarmed By LAPD's Tame Response
There's so much uproar about sewage flowing on the streets of Venice you'd think it was a Third World slum. Another poop alert was issued over the weekend when an RV operator was spotted dumping its tank on Venice Boulevard near Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
What really got some people up in arms of this latest alleged dumping was that the RV involved had dumped before, at least according to Marta Evry, a community organizer who emailed the Weekly.
In fact, Evry said, the operator was supposed to have a warrant for a previous dumping but was let go by police that stopped the RV following the Friday night incident.
There's more to the story, of course. RV critics say the campers are essentially homeless folks who bring down the quality of life in Venice by camping out, dumping sewage and, in some cases, doing and dealing drugs.
Every time an RV operator dumps his doody in Venice, the critics shout that it's high time to kick the rig dwellers out. (They've supported residential parking permits, shot down by the California Coastal Commission, and oversize parking restrictions over night,which have been given tentative approval).
Defenders say the "mobile homeless" are a welcome part of the beach community's bohemian spirit and tend to paint critics as the the forces of gentrification.

I sent the email in as a news tip, not as an attributable story. I did sign my name to the email, because I don't believe in posting or sending anything out that I wouldn't put my name on. However, the LA Weekly blogger did not ask me if he could use my name in the story. Had he asked, I would have said no, because I have no interest in making this story about me. Perhaps if more of you were willing to post under your own names, you could be a TV star like Alex too.
I'm downright amused that a few of of you have an issue that this got publicity, since most of you usually are jumping up and down trying to keep Venice blight in the news.

Oh heck--I'm totally feeling embarrassed. I also contacted media--city news service and KNBC. I cut and pasted the post with the photos and sent it along. I'm sure those folks at news outlets are used to us by now. I hate politics and politicians! In particular, I hate liars! Lying seems to be a prerequisite for public service. I'm too old to be surprised--but I usually still am.

I have to say, Marta brought some needed publicity to the latest incident. Remember, at a minimum, the City Attorney was not accurate when he represented that a bench warrant had been issued for these dumpers. That, in itself, is enough to jump up and down for attention from the media.

And they should really repaint. That domain name is dead. Bus probably belonged to somebody who wanted to "make a point" some years back, and has now found itself ingloriously forced to live out the last years of its existence as a mobile crack den or something.

Alex is the current star on the new Venice show Poopville. TV types(even newsies) love an attractive woman and Alex looks good on camera even when dressed down and I am not being sexist, only allowing for what Hollywood has always known and uses. Marta brought some additional news coverage and that is probably a good thing. What is beyond amusing is that Marta gives herself away everytime she hammers on her computer. While she thinks she is the brightest light on the block, offering oh so many teaching moments, she is actually quite dim. In her previous posting she berated Alex, and trashed those of us who want to keep Venice poop and poopers in the news under her term,"jumping up and down to keep Venice blight in the news." I detect criticism. She has an agenda, though currently unknown, and she is insulting, passive aggressive and downright nasty. I am now downgrading an earlier post wherein I said her posts will always be suspect to the red alert, her posts are menacing and should be ignored. Marta wants a piece of the action here and, as always, wants to be a player. I pledge myself to a deaf ear from anything Marta. Alex, and I am not forgetting the BD contribution, is the star of Poopville and she is now recognizable as the face of, in Marta's terms, keeping Venice blight in the news. She does not need a co star.

Alex, Some of us want to have a Tee-shirt produced where on the front it says welcome to Poopville and the back states a Los Angeles neighborhood where you can do anything you want, with your picture on the front and a picture on the back of a guy pooping on the beach?

What is unknown is what is going to be their next foray into king-making an election. Who will it be? Rumor has it Smilin Bill has his sights set on Diane Feinstein's position when she retires. It seems absurd to me, but hey what do I know, they may have the juice to pull it off. But statewide, that seems like a long shot to me. But hey, they certainly have the cajones to bluster their way into trying.
Are Marta her husband Warren, and their close buddy Kelly Willis (VNC member) still the local Democratic Party delegates? Hmmm what do they say at their meetings and to other Party delegates? How do they represent us to the Party? Ah to be temporarily, a fly on the wall.

Venice watchdawg and veniceneon, You make great points. LL as any sorta poster,t-shirt, persona may not work as she is too old and according to what I have observed from the Hollywood crowd does not, sell quite as well although there are solid stars over fifty. Let's wait to hear from Alex.
Veniceneon, I am sure Marta speaks for the council office as they would love to see this sh$t disturbing situation disappear as it has caused an embarrassing environment and if Mike Bonin, and crew can make that happen they will certainly create a more supportive audience Venice wide and especially the energetic crowd who jump up and down to highlight Venice blight. I say God bless as they journey to Sacramento or lovely Washington, D.C.

Well, Chris, I guess you would know because you had no problem partnering with me, Venice Watchdawg, and a bunch of other Venice residents in attempt to get the Venice neighborhood council decertified out from under Jim Smith, PLK and the rest of the Beachhead crew. You were pretty clear on my agenda then. If want to know what my agenda is now, you know how to get a hold of me. You've certainly sent me enough Obama hate emails and NRA garbage over the years.

Veniceneon, I'm not sure why your postings are attributed to me but Marta's agenda is becoming clearer with each new posting. She is still with that hopey, changey thing while most have jumped off that ship. Now she wants you dismissed by some NRA innuendo akin to that "clinging to guns and religion" so eloquently stated by her leader in the White House. The transparency illuminates. I'm only hoping our great nation is not too far off the abyss, but judging by LA politics and the Venice poop community things are headed to the toilet.
