(69 votes) Oh Marta give it a rest.
Speculate how you want about BD but don't tell me what my intentions are. I wanted people to know that nothing was being done apparently to pursue the dumpers- after everyone was addressed quite openly by numerous public officials that it was. That's it. When I think action is necessary and that city officials should be contacted, I say so in pretty damn clear language every time so save your fawning over being directed by me.
As for your question, and your form of snark…there are incendiary stories, and there are facts. The "story" as I have stated numerous times is that the dumpers are not being prosecuted – and as the facts around that become known … the citizens can act as they see fit regarding this matter. Now, whatever "story" you have decided to create, follow, or independently act upon.. is all yours sweetheart. Don't go blaming me or BD for your direction, the forum for it's reach ( which you use for your own incindiary stories when it suits you ) You are a resourceful person and seem to be pretty dialed in with Bonin and other city operatives. I would think you know that Hazmat isn't an office or an entity that you call, they are a private contractor for the city – it is fairly well known that you call 311 which is all city services and they dispatch Hazmat.
So, it seemed odd that you want direct "Hazmat" information and some whole sub report on that angle. It just seemed out of place and to be honest, MANY here are circumspect of YOU and your intentions based on your history and behavior… so your question and angle does not come with any degree of trust or assurance. You are a politically motivated person. The chain of command for an incident like this is to call the police to report people who have been marketed as being wanted and having warrants, and for dumping which is against the law. That was the primary concern of the citizens. The vehicle was moving, in traffic for over 5 miles at a busy time of night… and the police did not react with a level of responsiveness or concern about the dumping and it took several follw up calls over 5 hours later for anyone to respond including 311. Your bro's in the councilmans office statement that they couldn't find the dumping is a question that should be posed to them. You have their number. Citizens call 311 and it is a big bucket. Were they called? Yes. By multiple entities from the citizens to finally the police and then finally probably the councilmans office… probably…. Good luck hunting that one down… and I am just not even sure where that investigative tidbit will take you, or what it will get you… or why YOU wanted it.
I encourage you to be circumspect – everyone should be… but your incendiary categorization of my post as an APB is, well, kinda snarky Marta. You have your own track record on this forum, and many other forums where you lampoon this place and those who post here – and you yourself are known for being snarky and incindiary and a pot-stirring lecturist on pretty much everything. BD and I are separate individuals and we post separately. If you want to run around like chicken little and scream the sky is falling because I make a post, or BD… strap on those cross trainers and go for it. That's all on you sister. Don't loop the rest of us into your self induced investigative hysteria over it.
Snark on.
Alex, The engagement between you and Marta is somewhat entertaining but serves to take us away from the mission at hand: RV's off the streets, riff raff out of our community and basic enforcement of laws, It has become obvious Marta, in her role as a paid or volunteer trouble shooter for the council office, is doing her best to obfuscate the issues and do damage control for city officials and unleashing her on YoVenice, a great site, that has carried some damaging information about city officials and is widely read and a threat to the existing order.
So, with that realization she is easily handled and Alex you are exceptionally prolific at handing it back to her. Any postings by Marta will always be suspect as her shifting agendas, confusing to all of us, must cause her confusion as well. Now I undesrtand she is a liberal Democrat and that is cute, but on the current issues in Venice we will reach across the aisle, caring not if you like tea, coffee, Republicans, Nazis, or Democrats, Jews. Christians, Muslims, holy rollers. The majority of posters on YoVenice, and the majority of Venetians, are only motivated by the urgent need to remove RV's into whatever programs Rosendahl has in mind, reduce the number of near riots on the beach, and rid ourselves of riff raff attracted to our beach community and the free food, medical care, clothes offered and the few Bleachheads that want the cops gone and bums, criminals to have free reign. We want what every community in our great nation wants. God Bless

OfflineLady, please give it a rest! Alex has done more for this community in an extraordinarily short amount of time and continues to do so on a daily basis in a completely unselfish manner than anything you have ever done in your lifetime!! So take your little rants and head back to your little mole-hill. It suits you well..

Just thought this bears repeating.

Another Case Of Sewage Dumping From An RV Alleged In Venice: Activist Marta Evry Alarmed By LAPD's Tame Response
There's so much uproar about sewage flowing on the streets of Venice you'd think it was a Third World slum. Another poop alert was issued over the weekend when an RV operator was spotted dumping its tank on Venice Boulevard near Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
What really got some people up in arms of this latest alleged dumping was that the RV involved had dumped before, at least according to Marta Evry, a community organizer who emailed the Weekly.
In fact, Evry said, the operator was supposed to have a warrant for a previous dumping but was let go by police that stopped the RV following the Friday night incident.
There's more to the story, of course. RV critics say the campers are essentially homeless folks who bring down the quality of life in Venice by camping out, dumping sewage and, in some cases, doing and dealing drugs.
Every time an RV operator dumps his doody in Venice, the critics shout that it's high time to kick the rig dwellers out. (They've supported residential parking permits, shot down by the California Coastal Commission, and oversize parking restrictions over night, which have been given tentative approval).
Defenders say the "mobile homeless" are a welcome part of the beach community's bohemian spirit and tend to paint critics as the the forces of gentrification.
Details of this latest crappy situation are posted on the forum at Yo! Venice!

I am shocked. This is hilarious. I guess when you can't champion a situation for your own glory and benefit here… take your limited set of facts and pander your petunias elsewhere. Someone will have eggie on their face tomorrow. Ya just couldn't wait could ya – so much for being circumspect…. I guess "activism" is now reading "some" information on one blog, and writing a letter about it to another blog. Priceless. Well, everyone pack your sunglasses tomorrow because we know who's a$$ will be hanging in the wind, and I don't think anyone wants to look at it.
