While I agree with you on a lot of your post. Certainly the goals, the forces at play and the players themselves, are all in alignment with my appraisal of the situation. I have to tell you, you sound like a complete crackhead.

Where we diverge is basically on a point of intellectual honesty. Or rather dishonesty. 

I think it is a more than a little chickensh!t to have that much foreplay and no payoff.

If you think we should just get a bunch of guns and get all Charles Bronson on this trash just go ahead and say it. Come on out and ACTUALLY SAY IT.

Don't pussyfoot around and imply this and imply that, because that is dishonest. It is kind of cop out. It's weak. If it sounds crazy in plain english, I assure you it sounds just as F'ed up in your "oh-so-nuanced post". 

I agree it would be cheaper and faster. But I don't agree with you that it is the right thing to do. We are on the same side of this, but I think you should come a little closer, over here to the middle. Especially if you are going to be posting stuff like this on the internet. 

Either we live in a society of laws or we don't. No real compromise on that. Our moral authority is entirely derived from our complete adherence to the rule of law. By violating that you instantly become what you are espousing so much hatred for. You basically can't win in the long run that way regardless of the short term gains you might make. 

Once everyone decides they know best who should live and die it sets off a chain reaction that is impossible to stop. 

Having said that, there is an old saying I would like to add to this discussion: 

"A barking dog doth seldom strangers bite."

That is a nice way of saying if you are actually going to do it, don't talk about it unless you are a complete MORON. If you are joking or if you are totally serious either way it really has no place on YoVenice or any other forum I will admit to visiting in public. You just wind up sounding like an idiot, which is fine, but the wrong kind of idiot for YoVenice. Try Spirit of Venice.com or Marta's forum what ever that is, PM her for the URL.
