I was pretty surprised as I walked by the lot last night and saw so many RV's out there.

However there was one with a Pirate flag that stood out, and I thought to myself... Boy is that one cool.

I hate to repeat myself but wake up or it will be to late.

I have been fighting criminal transients sleeping in the vehicles since Galanter was our useless councilwoman.

L.A.M.C.85.02  NO ONE SHALL LIVE IN THEIR VEHICLE FROM DAY TO DAY!

I had signs put up years ago. LAPD enforces it. City attorney won't per council.

Bonin was her head deputy. I begged Rosendahl not to work with him and his answer to me was," he will get me elected"

I then found out Bonin was going to be his head deputy.

Once again those who rule now, ruled then.

When Rosendahl terms out BONIN WILL BE OUR NEW COUNCILMAN!

He has always wanted the criminal transients here.

It will continue to be KENNEDY, LUCKS, ABRAHAM, AND MOST OF ALL BONIN, with Galanter & Rosendahl in the near background.

Because of his relationship with the coastal commission they made a backroom deal and looked right in our eyes and LIED!

Galanter if I am not mistaken was on the coastal commission and her puppet learned well. What ever Bonin wants he gets.

He makes no bones about turning Venice back to what it was in the 60's.

I would love to know where the millions of $$ are from the Venice surplus fund ROSENDAHL & BONIN?

I would love to know why you had building and safety evict thousands of people from bootleg units around Venice but not on the Peninsula.
Actually I do know the answer

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

How is it they all got building permits within 1 month. Boardwalk realty bought most of the land for $140-150,00 a lot. Schutz, Mavar, Jirucha and Lee were the contractors. They all have bootleg units and using city easements with permits  for personal parking. Amazing the city street for personal parking. Galanter and Bonin trade 16 million $  lots for 10 useless lots with Harlin Lee. All huge builders and contributors to their campaigns since the early 70's

Someone should check all their bank accounts.

Just look at Playa Vista.

Wasn't it Galanter who ran on no over building Ya right until $$$ was flashed in her face. Rosendahl and Bonin are just alike.

That is your answer

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Doesn't anybody wonder why you don't hear about him.He is in the background running everything

Wake up get someone to run against him.

Lucks, Kennedy, Abraham, Rosendahl and Bonin won't ba able to count ballots!

OK Folks,

I just got back from an extended trip to Northern California to see Dad for Father's Day and Mom for her 89th Birthday and to see the few old friends who still live in the Bay Area. I also checked out the homeless and RV dweller scene EVERYWHERE I went…

Guess what??  Except for Sand City, a little ex-milliitary support and now industrial and aggie supply town on the coast below Salinas, THERE WAS NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY LIKE WHAT WE HAVE GOING ON HERE!!!

While I do agree with Boston D about the evil doers listed above, this has to be bigger than that and is probably has something to do with development (maybe downtown for now – "artist lofts" – but here eventually) – It is very discouraging for those of us who worked for years to clean up this town, only to have it return to a grabage dump.

The obvious enablement has prompted these "sacred cows" of Venice to become mean and arrogant about their behavior and take over parking lots and do things like described below by an Oxford Triangle resident – And this is not the first time this guy has done this….

Below that, an article about a political posture taken by our Jackass Mayor, who had no reason to weigh in on the subject as it was not on his desk and he was not involved with the suit or the settlement.  Interesting take, he makes the homeless/RV issue City-wide and talks about

Triangle Update

Neighbor Gets the Flip from "Cracker"

(A skateboarding , goofball who smokes his pipe and flips

off neighbors  as he skateboards around the neighborhood.)

Note: Once again, this is anonymous because of possible retaliation.

Two weeks ago my girlfriend and I were driving and had just turned onto Carter from Berkeley. An Asian man in is 20's was riding a skateboard, heading toward the Jefferson Marina Apartments. As he slowly cruised by us, he lit up a crack pipe! This was a weekend and kids were out playing, so I stopped, rolled down my window, and said, "Hey– let's not do that here– there are kids all over this neighborhood."

The guy then jumped off his skateboard, flipped the bird yelling "F*** YOU" and held up his board, swinging it in the air threatening to smash it into my car.

I was moments from getting out of my car and Tasering him, but I decided to cal the police instead.

The first 911 operator was difficult and argumentative as "Jefferson Way" didn't appear on his computer screen and he therefore wouldn't connect me with LAPD, though I assured him this was LAPD jurisdiction as I lived there. After fighting with him, I hung up, called 911 again and got someone who immediately transferred me to LAPD. By then of course, the perp was long gone, but he did go into the Jefferson Marina Apartment complex, and I have seen him exit there at least one time since.

And I guess we have to start arming ourselves.

*****************************************************************************************

WatchDawg Rick Replies:

Don't balme the apartment complex for this nutcase, I'm guessing he is not a resident as he has not masked his entrance to the neighbors – You want to know who to blame???

Blame the City of LA, from the mayor down to the recently elected Venice Neighborhood Council who are hell bent of turning Venice into the "Home of The Homeless" as Santa Monica was 15 years ago – The City people keep talking about how these "poor" people are victims of the economy and they need programs and show their compassion by ignoring existing laws, and talk, talk, talking about fair ways to deal with the problem while the residents are being overwhelmed with the criminality and now an active defiance by the this new class of "Venice resident." That, and we are being told that the City has no funds for anything.

This below is from our Mayor, A person who was never even involved with the OPD situation or the failed settlement. A political stance for what????  I don't get it… Do you?? More talk, more misplaced compassion, no money and more RVs and homeless on the beach daily…

Make the problem City-wide, do little – but contain it in Venice…

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Opposes Overnight Parking Restrictions In Venice

Categories: politics
Thumbnail image for lakeview dispensary rv.gif

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa recently expressed his opposition to a deal that would have allowed Venice residents to create overnight parking districts, according to Venice Paper.

In a letter he rejected the City Council's approval of a deal with the California Coastal Commission and the Venice Stakeholders Association that would have allowed the permit-parking districts.

The mayor's move, however, was moot as the California Coastal Commission ultimately voted down the deal. (In typical Villaraigosan style, the mayor is a day late and a dollar short). A lawsuit could change that, but the mayor's lack of a sign-off on the plan would not have made a binding difference on whether the City Council could have approved overnight parking. Here's what the mayor wrote in his rejection letter:

… It's time we embraced the challenge and began working toward real solutions, not those that push problems from one block to another, from one neighborhood to another. We can do better, and we must do better.

Overnight-parking's proponents are especially concerned about what they describe as quasi-homeless RV dwellers in Venice who are blamed for blight, narcotics activities and quality of life crimes.

Opponents say permit parking would deny access to the coast and change the open nature of Venice.

Says the mayor:

… I believe we have the ability to differentiate between the needs of those legitimately suffering from economic dislocation who are in need of safe places to park and help in obtaining services and housing, and those who are taking unfair advantage of both the system and the historically welcoming tradition of the Venice community by creating nuisances and sometimes committing crimes. We can combine compassion and pragmatism with appropriate measured law enforcement to avoid the further victimization of both the housed and the un-housed populations of Venice

Lot's closed and empty at night.  They come, and they go.

I walk past that lot a few times every week...sometimes there's 20 or more, sometimes half-a-dozen, doesn't seem to be any particular pattern.

Why don't we just open all parking lots and streets for the vehicle dwellers, criminal transients

and all the illegal aliens.

They all get free health care and a ton of free services. Paramedics, fire, police hospitals  will only have 1 place to go.

That way hospitals don't have to close their doors to people like me who pay $600.00 a month for health care and

can't afford to go to the doctor.

They can jail them right on site.

That way are jails don't have to release pedophiles, rapists, burglars and robbers.

THEY ARE NOT ENTITLED TO HAVE OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY, TO REFUSE HELP AND CHOOSE THAT LIFESTYLE, TO COMMIT VIOLENT CRIMES, TO SET FIRES,  MURDER, RAPE, ROB, BURGLARIZE, ATTACK  ANYWHERE ANYTIME TO ANYONE THEY CHOOSE AND USE OUR FRONT YARDS,CARPORTS,YARDS FOR THEIR PERSONAL URINALS

AND NOT PAY THE PRICE AND COMPLAIN THEY ARE NOT GETTING FREE SERVICES.

I AM SICK OF THIS CITY AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO RUN IT AND SHOVE THIS CRAP DOWN OUR THROATS DESTROYING OUR COMMUNITIES AND LIVES!

Every time I read a line like "SHOVE THIS CRAP DOWN OUR THROATS" I consider that the images being conjured are so vastly different from the reality of Venice.  Look outside.  It's sunny and breezy, and you're free to get up from your computer and take a walk, a ride, a skate, a swim, grab a bite, do a little shopping.

I don't see where anyone is being strapped to a board or otherwise held down and having anything from water to cloths to "crap" shoved down their throats.  Not even at the Venice Freakshow.  If you'd like to go where what you've described really happens I can suggest a number of places, but Venice isn't on the list.

Our problems are real, the worst of them don't rise to the level of torture.

In regard to the "Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa recently expressed his opposition …. " as quoted above.

If anyone can find it on an official site of the Mayor's office, please link to it here.

Update: Thanks to the reader that sent in a copy of the Mayor's letter!

Chris

I guess you are a E ride at Disneyland.

Have you seen the dead bodies at the Venice Pier ? I'll say, you have not.

Have you seen the dead bodies found weeks later in their campers? I'll say, you have not.

Have you seen the dead bodies along the Venice Canals? I'll say, you have not.

Have you seen the dead bodies along the beach? I'll say, you have not.

Have you seen a 21 year old stabbed through the heart? I'll say, you have not

Have you seen all the stabbings of tourist and residents alike? I'll say, you have not.

Have you seen all the robberies along the beach? I'll say you have not

Have you seen all the destruction from the fires? I'll say you have not.

But If you have, than maybe you like all the crap.

I don't ! and I have seen it!

This has been my home for over 35 years. The city has done NOTHING to help criminal transients except enable them.

The only thing they have done is deny tax paying citizens their rights to safe streets, able to park in front of their own residents,

and not have them pay for fire, cops, hospitals, ambulances and millions of dollars for programs.

That we the tax payers foot the bill.

We are not allowed to put up a bill board but we have to look at the crap parked all over Venice.

The community voted on many occasion's but it seems our vote doesn't count. Why do we vote at all?

There are laws on the books but LAPD's hands are tied. They arrest and ticket then the criminal transients cry foul and everything is thrown out of court. They go right back to their wonderful lives of drinking, drugs and crime.

Who pays the price? We do!

So Ya, they are shoved down our throats. Our problems are real. We all have a vested interest and

we should not have to put up with some people who don't give a crap about anything this city stands for.

criminal transients and politicians alike.

So Ya we have this crap shoved down our throats and even after we vote on the issues we  still get screwed.

Why, again I say THEY DON'T WANT HELP.

If they don't want help , then why do we have to put up with all the crime and the sickening sites. This may be fun for you and you may enjoy it but most of this community doesn't.

If someone is truly homeless they have excepted help and use the programs wisely.

The rest are criminal transients who should be treated as such, criminals.

Maybe the crap you are dishing out is stuck in your throat, maybe that's why you don't feel it being shoved down yours.

P.S. Most all collect state checks and make more money then I do!
