OfflineCouncilman Rosendahl: "I Am Going to Beat This Cancer".
August 1, 2012
Councilman Bill Rosendahl has been diagnosed with cancer. He began treatment today. His doctors are optimistic and Bill plans to return to work as soon as possible.
“For the past few months, I have been suffering from nagging back pain….”
“While I am undergoing treatment, I will be in touch regularly with colleagues….”
“..as a longtime diabetic…”
“I am going to beat this cancer and to return to work soon.
“I am going to seek, win and complete a third term.”
“Most especially, we are going to build affordable housing and provide services and housing to the homeless.”
So…., who is going to run CD11, while BR is recovering?
We all wish him well, and hope for a speedy recovery.
I find it very interesting as to the timing of his press release,
if he just started receiving treatment in Aug, had he been aware of the cancer months earlier, seeking a second and perhaps 3rd opinion weighing all the pros and cons, investigating all the different treatments available,
All this takes time. It’s a big decision
BR stated “My doctors feel there is abundant reason for optimism. The cancer is slow-moving…”
So clearly he is not just rushing into this, which brings this to mind:
Did BR know last year, and did not disclose this when he announced he was seeking a 3rd term?
If it was known then, do you think we would have an alternate candidate running?
Not much time to begin a campaign
did BR stack the deck

Onlineit appears that Bill is going to be MIA – missing in action
with the many issues facing us all over the city, he stated his number one goal for his next term is that…
“…Most especially, we are going to build affordable housing and provide services and housing to the homeless.”
with what money does he plan on doing this with? were will the housing and services be located?
i think he is in the wrong office, he should be in HUD
i wish there was someone else to vote for

OfflineAnyone who has dealt with Bill regarding really egregious issues has seen his empathetic concern and assurances of his determination to seek relief for you. It is always followed by a very long silence, and nothing changed for the better. When you bring it up again, the entire performance and outcome are repeated. How could this happen? To who is Bill so committed that he feels compelled to do nothing despite such sincere expressions of sympathy?
Whomever the bosses are in Council District 11 you won't find them amongst the staff of that office. The notion that Bonin is any thing more rather talkative bureaucrat seems incredible to me. Neither are the staff entirely fairminded and respectful of the interests of all who live, work, and visit the district. There seems to be a strange indifference to the vast majority of the people and a definite preference to a small portion of the community who get things their way even if it is against the interests of all others in the community. It's a corrupted office but by who and to further what ends? That is not so clear.

Do you have any evidence at all that would lead you to these types of questions, or is your tin foil hat just on a little too tight?
