I second the art house movie theatre, saloon, & gas station!  There used to be that gas station on Lincoln and Venice (southwest corner).  There aren't any on that side of the street for miles.

We need a decent dog park.

Talk about never east of Lincoln! There is a Chevron at Venice and Lincoln, yo!

Maybe that Secret Money fund should help to establish a more decent dog park.  I have started going to the one at Jocelyn Park which is in Santa Monica just one block north of Ocean Park on the westside of Lincoln, one block in.  It is clean, well maintained and everyone seems to be really nice.

In general, more pride in how the neighborhood looks. So many of the sidewalks are filled with garbage, every patch of grass seems to have animal poop, and the Rose & Lincoln neighborhood I used to live in (now near Windward Circle) often had old grocery carts left out on the sidewalk. I mean, let's have some pride and pick up after ourselves! And I would be totally up for any community initiative to help with this.

Food joint that stays open after 11 PM… I mean come on.. Dell Taco… really??? Is that all I have to choose from in Venice???? I love Abbot's Pizza.. but why they don't stay open till 2 AM is beyond me.  At least on the east side you can get a bacon wrapped hot dog on the street corner… or some other "living on the edge" delicious food.

less public drug use on the walk streets, less people poop on the street corners, less drunk-drugged drivers through the streets, less assholes in the dog park, and more kindness overall.

They need to double the amount of trash cans in the Windward circle and Main street area. Additionally, they need to make stronger retail shops on the boardwalk and pressure clean the boardwalk and Windward circle at least once a week.

As far as music goes, the downstairs of the Townhouse needs to open up. Concurrently, Indie 103.1 should be promoting a night in a Venice music venue….
