I nominate the squirrel that hangs out (literally) on the bird feeder in front of our home.  He's ambitious, a hard worker, damn cleaver and humble enough to back down when he gets caught red handed raiding the feeder.  More to offer than what we have on the VNC currently.  I'm reasonably sure the squirrel would be no less productive than the current VNC, and would be far less likely to screw things up.
