Surfer, we still have a few pre-addressed postcards that you can send to the Coastal Commission to support the right of residents to set up overnight restricted parking on their block.  Send me an address and we will get the card dropped off.  Mark venicestakeholders@ca.rr.com.

I think the VNC plans to use a "hey look, that Pro OPD post only got one star on YoVenice" as well as the results of their scientific poll in their presentation to the CCC.

Irony, it's what's for breakfast.

I do not support OPDs in anyway.  I support "no RV's" or commercial trucks on residential streets but this OPD nonsense only makes life more complicated for the people living here.

I agree. It's nothing but a minor consolation to keep at most a few people slightly pacified and does not solve problems but will only make things worse.

Have fun undoing it once it gets passed.

Elected leaders need to get off their asses, serve us and figure out how to keep RV's and people sleeping in their cars and commercial vehicles out of residential neighborhoods.

Well said. I support progressive & organic change - 100%.

If you've never lived with OPD's, I suggest you do thorough research before supporting them.

Otherwise - it may become yet another example of the blind leading the blind.

Which is more often than not, counter productive.

As an aside:

Change is inevitable.

Documenting that change is important.

Yet I find it interesting.

Q: Now that Tony Vera's  'gone', who - if anyone - will take up the mantle ?

A: ( unequivocal ) Nobody.

Sad ;)

I support the right of neighbors to vote in an OPD though I personally don't feel the need for my street. Yes, parking is terrible during the daytime and early evenings, OPD's won't solve that issue.

I have not converted my garages to living space like so many homeowners and as such don't really care.

I'll support Mark on this one because it's the right thing to do. People have the right to determine this issue block by block.

The 60's are gone!
