LL and her cronies are in charge of the rules. They can change them to suite their need anytime they want. These people are not accountable to anybody, let alone the residents. One would think that in order to qualify for a seat on the neighborhood counsel you would have to live in the neighborhood. Otherwise, it would be a conflict of interest to have outsiders on the counsel.

It's the same BS every election cycle. They even offer free shuttle buses to their supporters. And who ends up monitoring the votes and checks to see if they are legitimate? Guess.

Bottom line, the rules won't be changed unless someone can get beyond LL but you will find that she is being kept in place IMO by individuals sponsored by Rosendahl and the Mayor's office. So that will be a dead end run.

The only thing that will work to change this setup is to expose how stinky and UNREPRESENTATIVE it is.

LL won by 331 votes last election. Out of 1,097 votes cast in area of 35,000 people. Changing this is doable.

How many votes were cast from people actually residing and paying taxes in Venice?

Who has access to these resident records?

I would like the opportunity to vote for the complete abolishment of the VNC as I fear that no matter who heads it the VNC will end up, by it's very nature, a special interest dictatorship with zero accountability to anyone.
