The 2012-14 Venice Neighborhood Council Board will be sworn in tomorrow night by Councilman Rosendahl starting at 7:10pm in the Westminster Elementary School Auditorium. Big thanks to all of the outgoing members of the Neighborhood Council for helping the community!

I'm not all sour grapes about losing the election, and went to attend the first meeting to support the people that were elected in. After the swearing in, I had to walk out. I simply could not stand LL's talking down to the board, complete lack of control of the situation, complete disregard for the rules of order, and pure disregard for the set agenda.
On top of that, I witnessed her completely ignoring the people commenting at the podium, and allowing the speakers to proselytize about what the VNC means. What Linda needs to do, is cut people short if their "public" comments are better addressed privately afterwards, and focus on the issues.
Unless of course wasting peoples' time and frustrating those who care is her plan to continue another 2 year downhill slide.
Good luck to the new members that were voted in. I believe in a lot of you and hope you are able to affect positive change for us all, in spite of LL's agenda.

You gots it right! Linda learned from the best at this sort of "outreach" charade. This is the old Ruth Galanter method of governance:

Galanter once said that she was elected to lead, not facilitate. Your thoughts were worthless, unless you agreed… And if you ever did agree, she would get you a Letter of Commendation from the City Council for your office wall…
