Well I finally had a reason to go to the new Post Office. Rather small, though it's nice there are no plexi partitions. Same lousy service, but I always felt something was missing, until I exited and realized that there was no urine aroma. (FOR NOW).

I also went for the first time last Thursday, I liked the lack of bulletproof glass, and also that they had 3 tellers and a supervisor on the floor which never seemed to happen in the old spot but boy did I miss the charm, the mural, the heavy feel of a great old building, and even the steps/ramp of the old building.  I had nowhere to park the dog and it felt like I was in the marina.

It is indeed!

And I love how people see clean as "bad/Marina Del Rey or Santa Monica" and "dirty/smells like pee" as being somehow true to the Venice spirit.

Love not having to step over piss on the stairs!

We are lucky to still have a post office in the area. I for one don't miss the piss on the steps.

So when do we see what happens to the old post office building?

If I just bought it, I would secure the premises. All I see are paper notices to go across the street.

So you don't have to lick the stamps?
