The LAPD Pacific Community Police Station will open its doors for the public at its “Annual Open House/Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser” on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 12312 Culver Boulevard.
The event is geared toward families and offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about Pacific Division’s community services. Throughout the day meet Pacific Area Senior Lead Police Officers, Neighborhood Block Captains, Community Police Advisory Board (C-PAB) and Booster members, the impressive Deputy Auxiliary Police Services (DAPS) and Cadet Youth Groups. Visitors may also enjoy an interesting tour of the Police Station.
Several specialized LAPD Units will be on hand including SWAT, LAPD Dive Unit, Motor Officers, Pacific’s Beach Detail, and many more!
The Los Angeles Police Department has teamed up with several key agencies to provide information on essential Emergency Preparedness and Safety. The Los Angeles Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, L.A. Metro, DWP, and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving unique and moving display), are just a few of the attending organizations that will be providing useful community resources.
More Prepared is an Emergency Preparedness company located in Hawthorne, offering a complete line of supplies including kits for your home, car and office, food, water, flashlights, blankets, first aid kits, medical supplies and more. You will have the opportunity to talk with their representatives and purchase supplies!
