The LAPD will host their 3rd annual "National Night Out" in the Pacific Division on Tuesday, August 7th. “Take me out to the ballpark” is the theme, the event starts at 6pm.

LAPD Night Out

Activities will include a community softball game and BBQ to bring “Police and Community Together” Teams are mixed of all ages and abilities, play uses a 16” softball, a glove is optional and everyone interested gets to play.

I went the first one at Penmar Park and it was a blast.  Softball and hot dogs and cold soda and nice people.   Potato chips too. 

Isn't the 16" softball a Chicago tradition?

I and my neighbors received a flyer saying there would be an event on Mildred from 7-10, but there was nothing there.  Do you know what happened with that?

No idea about anything at Mildred.

Hot dogs were great at NNO.
