On June 9th of 2010, the Gonzales Family home at 1033 Abbot Kinney was boarded up by court order for delinquent payments on the property. The Gonzalez Family, which had lived at the property for 60 some odd years, began sleeping in the driveway.
Loopnet notes the home was sold by Court Confirmation with open competitive bidding on 10-22-10 for $1,350,000 although it was also listed with Coldwell Banker at $2,450,000 at the time. Beats me what happened, but the home was torn down this week.
