OfflineAccording to the LA Weekly, Linda does not mind the homeless having her address, but she really didn't answer the question about whether or not they could camp out on her walk street. I for one would really like to know.

OfflineDavid Ewing declines being in the Safe Camping Guide for the Homeless (but thinks it's OK for them to camp-out in the Rose Avenue area near other people's homes):

Publishing a list like that is not something I would do, but I'm not you. The question of whom I would or would not welcome at my home is not one I care to have mediated by someone whose intent is hostile and whose judgment is lacking, along with any sense of decency. So the answer is, you do not have permission to publish my location.David
Hypocrite.

OfflineIs there a legal difference between people sleeping on the sidewalk in the "industrial" zone on 3rd Ave, and people sleeping on the sidewalk outside a residence? Or is it just a question of enforcement? Is there some set distance from a residence?
If it's going to be legally okay for them to set up camp on 3rd ave, does that then imply it's okay (legally) for them to set up camp anywhere?

OfflineSo – I just took the time to watch the OP's video where the gentleman was reunited with his 'lovebox' that was ruthlessly tossed away by the dept of sanitation. He then says that he found the 'lovebox' in the trash about a year ago. So – he found it in the trash – takes it out of the trash – now it's worth $4k bc it's his personal possession?

OfflineLinda Luck's reply to my request to list her address in the Westside Guide to Safe Camping Locations:
Immediately remove my personal information from your website as it is an incitement to violence to your organizations subscribers. I have filed a police report as I consider this provocation a terrorist threat to my safety and to the safety of my immediate neighbors. The City Attorney Work place Violence unit has been notified as has my personal attorney. As you are well aware The last time a web site irresponsibly posted my personal information I received hate mail. My neighbors are also on alert. You have put them at risk as well.
And my reply:
Linda,
As you know, we have not published the Guide, just published a letter to you and others asking about inclusion of your addresses in the Guide. Since we've simply re-published addresses that are publicly available I'm not sure if there is any limitation, especially since you are a public figure, but I am checking with legal counsel to determine if there are any limitations on our First Amendment rights in this instance.
Mark
So, as I expected, for Linda it's all right for people to camp out on other people's property (even those who violently bash residents in the head with skateboards) but not on Linda's parkway.
