The canals are getting spruced up today for the 4th festivities with some new paint on the walk bridges.

VCA Events:
5th Annual Rubber Ducky Race at 1:30, but Ducky sales close at 1:15. Rubber Ducky(s) are 5 bucks from the VCA. The race begins at the Dell Bridge over Linnie Canal and finishes at Linnie and Eastern Canal.
Downwind Regatta: Kids division starts at 1:45 and the Adult Division at 2pm. All entries must be wind-powered only. Kids must wear life vests and have their parents sign a release.

Show up at 12:30-1 or so at the Dell Bridge over Linnie Canal and the VCA folks should be able to sell you one!

Not all the bridge received fresh paint. I wonder who decided and how it was decided which ones did and did not receive fresh paint.

pretty sure the neighbors just decided to make it nice for the event and paint the bridges where the races were, it did not look like a city crew, just some hired painters

and assume they used all the proper costal commision approved paint !
