Angel City Brewery to take part in Saturday’s free Venice Beach Music Fest

Angel City Brewery is heading to the beach for some fun in the summer sun this Saturday, Aug. 23 as a sponsor at the Ninth Annual Venice Beach Music Fest. Later this month on Aug 31, Angel City will lead a community cleanup through the eclectic beach city.

The Venice Beach Music Fest is a free event running from 11 am-7:30 pm at Windward Plaza (1 Windward Avenue, between the boardwalk and the bike path).

The festival features live music, belly dancers, artists, authors, and more.

Musical acts include Roots Collective (multi-genre world beat), The Greg Douglass Band (guitarist from Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison), Jah Faith and The Hashishans (reggae), Zen Robbi (swing/funk fusion), The Untouchables (ska), and The King Brothers (blues).

As part of their involvement in the Venice Beach Music Fest, Angel City will have an interactive table with games and giveaways. Angel City will be available on draft at bars and restaurants throughout Venice, including Danny’s, Venice Ale House, Bank of Venice, Sidewalk Cafe, and Larry’s.

Each month the team from Angel City, along with a great group of volunteers, heads out into an LA community with a mission to cleanup a neighborhood.

This month Angel City has their sights focused on Venice, where they will return on Aug. 31 to do just that.

Participating volunteers will gather at The Venice Whaler at 11:30 am to pick up their volunteer t-shirt, gloves, trash bags and trash pickers.

After the cleanup, the group will head back to the Whaler for some tasty food and Angel City Beer.

Volunteers can register for the cleanup by emailing: Emily@angelcitybrewery.com. Full details about this week’s event can be found here: http://angelcitybrewery.com/events/venice-community-cleanup/

Angel City Brewery is a downtown based brewery featuring a 19-tap bar and serving an ever-changing roster of classic and newly inspired beer.

The bar is open seven days a week with a full calendar of events ranging from weekly industry and trivia nights, to art shows, live music and festivals.
