Venice is a great place to straighten out.. I was a big herb smoker for decades – I moved to Venice in '92 and quit! :) I know it has all of the fried-eggs on the boardwalk and a reputation for hippy drums circles, medicinal dispensaries, etc. but surprisingly I found it was an excellent place to stay straight. All you have to do is walk down to the boardwalk and look at all of the homeless drugged-out hippy/punks and it's like attending the best rehab in the world… They're lives are like walking billboards for abstaining from drugs. I'd be far more worried about the influx of celebrities to the community to be honest with you.. Once more Hollywood people filter into the neighborhood, that 'free and easy' vibe that makes Venice so special will eventually disappear – replaced by big walls and non-friendly neighbors.. Just like the Palisades and Malibu!

wow, I would have never found this place because the report said she rented a beach house… If the beach ever gets close to her place I am screwed…

The report also says she has a nice view. Maybe of the neighborhood, definitely of the 33 bus running by on Venice Way every few minutes, and if she stands on her rooftop deck, occasionally of me prancing around naked in my bedroom if I leave the shades up. The latter should be enough to scare her away, so I may begin to immediately take action!

and would young hollywood moving to Venice really ruin it?
