the fix is simple….. allow parking on pacific at all times.. narrow the flow of traffic to one lane… people will start to take alternate routs.. the parked cars will help protect pedestrians on the sidewalks.. venice people will have more parking. and people who use venice as a short cut will head to the 405… its a cheap solution… just a few signs.. could be done in one day.
I got a little sad reading this. Because that is exactly how Pacific ave used to be between Navy street and Windward. Trffic demands went up more people parked on Pacific started getting their cars side swiped more as a result. or getting open doors taken off by a passing car. But when it was taken away people were up in arms about it. As time passed the outrage was forgotten and people got used to it. But it also exsposed a whole new set of problems and here we are today come full circle. Ah the rolling donut of life.
they got their cars swiped because people cant drive… that is the problem.. better a car scratched up than me walkning my dog…cars are the problem at least we can use them as a buffer.
