Once again, a bad motorcycle accident at this corner. When will the West Traffic Division do something about it?

Very dangerous intersection . I am trying to get the accident statistics for that corner. There seems to be an accident every week.
Typical situation: 2 lanes southbound. Cars line up in left lane to turn left from Pacific onto Brooks eastbound. Oncoming traffic tries to make a left from northbound lane onto Brooks westbound. Meanwhile, inside southbound lane on Pacific is whizzing through intersection at high speed. Oncoming starts turn onto westbound Brooks and gets t-boned by inner lane speedster.

I believe a green turn arrow in both directions would solve the problem.

Don't you need a dedicated left turn lane to make those work?

Don't know. Maybe only one left turn should be allowed, either onto Brooks eastbound, or westbound. That way, cars will not be stopped in one direction t the intersection, so the chances of a collision are halved.

I always wait 10 feet back for the light at that intersection when I want to walk across the street. I would suggest that everyone do the same.

Continue the center divider lane on Ocean Avenue through to Pacific Avenue.
Would make left turns safer and improve the traffic flow.

I avoid Pacific, especially southbound, like the plague. Do streets have Feng Shui? I don't know, but if they do, this one has it BAD. It's just too hairy. Drivers – including me – go too fast, people swerve right to avoid cars turning at intersections and (as Salt Water said) pedestrians cluelessly step off curbs (I love it when they do this at night.) Throw in a bicyclist or two for fun.
I always head over to Main Street which is way slower but way better.
