12 Washington will be closing their doors on Valentines Day. The restaurant was founded in 1976, with the current ownership taking over in 2001.

12 Washington Venice Beach

An employee said the reason for the closing of the restaurant is "we lost the lease". As of now, the owners of 12 Washington are not planning on opening in a new location, but the employee left it as "we will see".

A new Italian restaurant is expected to be opening in the space.

Stop in on or before the 14th to say your farewells! You will be missed 12 Washington!

This is sad news. I've enjoyed some great meals there over the past 20 years. I urge everyone to get in there and have a meal and say goodbye before they close and send them off with a bang. I'll miss them.

That's to bad-i hope an italian res doesn't take over – c n o has got it down pat there's like 3 or 4 italian places there already – what we need is a good greek spot gabbys is…

The new owner is Paolo Cesaro, who also has Ado at 796 Main and 31 Ten at 3110 Main.

Paolo is presently painting the fence at 12 Washington yellow if you would like to stop by and welcome him to Washington.
