A friend had to take 4 Squared to small claims in order to get their deposit back. A few legitimate but mostly bogus damages were deducted from the deposit that coincidentally added up to just over the full amount on deposit. Luckily photos of the unit were taken before turning in the keys (everyone should always do this btw). The photos were presented in court and the judge ordered most of the deposit returned. Apparently 4 Squared was great when the father was in charge, but the story goes he had a heart attack or stroke some several years ago and then the son took over. I've heard of several people in Venice having problems like this ever since.
