(4 votes) The Venice Beach Biennial, part of "Made in L.A. 2012" organized by the Hammer Museum in collaboration with LA•Art, starts tomorrow on Ocean Front Walk. Over the course of the weekend, nearly 50 fine artists will set up vending stands alongside veteran boardwalk artists, exhibiting new bodies of work, collaborating with the veterans on new projects, displaying site-specific sculptures or installations, and presenting live performances.

OfflineIt's just another money-grab disguised as a carnival.
I'd love to see pagent performed to music depicting the rise and fall of Abbot Kinney and Venice of America. Of course the part where Mr Kinney makes his fortune selling cigarettes wouldn't be very PC.
