A few posts back we asked for reader submissions for a new "Random Venice Picture of the Week" series. We have had some great submissions which will be posted in the coming weeks. Feel free to submit more!

To kick off the series, here is a GREAT set from Kent Andersson. Taken on 1/23/10, Kent watched as a surfer tried to jump into the water from the Venice Pier but the surfboard got stuck to the pier. After a couple of minutes, the surfer unleashed his ankle while people on the pier freed the board.

Kookage Fo Sho.  He's got a hood and booties on….  I surfed all weekend and the water is NOT COLD and it's like 70 deg out side.  HAHA.
