Venice Rocks for Haiti Tonight at The Garter

The Garter turned 40 years old this week! Tonight Nik Rae will be hosting her Venice Rocks event with a Grammy theme … so wear your Grammy formal attire and you will get a free shot for doing so. They will also be collecting optional door donations for the Red Cross earmarked for Haiti.

Lincoln and Palms Pedestrian Cross Walk Warning

December 29th a woman pedestrian was killed at the intersection of Palms and Lincoln. Not willing to wait on the red tape of the city to install lights, some industrious Venecian has taken to warning pedestrians their own way.
The crosswalk at Palms and Lincoln now reads “PEOPLE DIE HERE”, “PELIGRO DE MUERTE”.

Venice Resident Eun Y. Kang Murder Update

The LA Times is reporting that Boneetio Kentro Washington, the suspect in the Venice Beach murder of Eun Y. Kang had been held by Culver City police days earlier.
