As Bret and I were riding bikes around Venice, taking photos, we decided to stop in to Market Gourmet – since I drive by all the time and have never stopped. (It’s across from the French Market).
Wow. They have a TON of interesting foods! It’s huge in there!
Next time I throw party, I know where I’m headed. As someone who rarely cooks and never really cooks well, this place is still inspiring. Tempanades, cheeses, olives – they have enough fancy nosh to impress my guests. (Vegetarian Pate? It’s so on my list!) Even if you’re looking for something for lunch or dinner, their pre-prepared foods are scrumptious!
They have a well-appointed “wares” section of food-and-drink related items that are certain to come in handy in your kitchen, or make the perfect gifts for your favorite foodies. And if you’re even more culinarily-impaired than I am, their expert staff will whip up a gift basket in no time!
I will definitely be doing more “drive to’s” than “drive by’s” from now on.
